I am so sorry I have let myself down; I have been struggling with my own mental health over the past year worrying about keeping the charity going. I have given 7 years of my life to improving North East mental health services. As a volunteer Chief Officer unpaid and sometimes I forget to look after myself.
Sometimes we think it’s so easy to make a commitment to raise money for others but it’s not easy, I have given myself a telling-off and will start again today 04/04/2023. Thanks for your understanding, Eddie.

Day 1 of 365

I will do 20 press-ups a day for 365 days to raise awareness of veterans and their families struggling with mental health and addiction.

The money I raise will provide counselling and addiction support services to veterans and their families.

When I started Anxious Minds with my War Pension in 2015, I had lost 5 years of my life struggling to find support and ended up homeless and living in a caravan, because I was so ill.

Crying out for help, when you are faced with a situation like this you have two choices, complain or do something about it.

Anxious Minds now supports hundreds of people every year, and are work with veterans and their families have won four national awards in 2021 – 2022.
